The R-Style system integrator completed the complex project of upgrade of IT infrastructure of the Russian Power machine-building Holding (REP Holding). Within the project the company upgraded two existing data processing center (DPC), one new is constructed; on their base virtual IT infrastructure is unrolled. All three DPCs have geographically distributed placement that does the constructed infrastructure highly katastrofo-and fault-tolerant.
Within the R-Style project delivered solutions of several producers – leaders in the sphere – VMware, NetApp, Cisco and Fujitsu. The selected solutions allowed to keep within the limited estimate at observance of technical requirements and terms.
The project pursued three main objectives: transfer of the created IT infrastructure to virtual environment, ensuring its disaster tolerance, by reservation at the level of DPC and upgrade of the existing engineering systems. Restoration of two DPCs affected power supply, conditioning, cable networks (SCS) and fire extinguishing. All planned works were successfully implemented and were not adjusted throughout fixed term.
One of project implementation conditions – the most operational transfer of new infrastructure to an operating mode – demanded to carry out restoration of DPC without output it from operation, direct systems were in working order.
Reliability augmentation, availability, scalability and stability of IT systems of the customer became a project deliverable, the controllability of IT infrastructure in general is also improved. Due to territorial diversity of nodes of network as it was already told, the solution became otkazo-and disaster-proof. Putting into operation of new capacities allowed the customer to have additional opportunities for development and building of direct systems and volume of productive activity.
