The project of the Rostelecom group of companies, implemented by RTKomm, provides access to computing resources, services and software of the network of modern data centers throughout Russia.

The main idea of ​ ​ the project is to create a national cloud platform, on the basis of which companies of various sizes could build (on the terms of their lease) IaaS or reserve the existing IT infrastructure one of any complexity, increase efficiency and ensure business continuity.

Cloud Server

Using the Cloud Server, you can deploy a project of any complexity, improve the reliability and security of projects, and ensure the continuity of your business. A cloud server is a virtual machine that in its characteristics is in no way inferior to physical servers, and in terms of reliability, ease of management and control it significantly exceeds them.

The service provides from 1 to 128 GB of RAM and from 1 to 20 GHz of processor capacity of Intel Xeon E5 processors. The selected configuration can be changed upward or downward at any time, and thanks to virtualization technology, you do not need to reinstall the operating system.

From a technical point of view, the Cloud Server is a virtual machine running on the company's hardware virtualization platform, the vmware hardware virtualization platform, the world leader in server virtualization. This opens up a great opportunity to integrate the Cloud Server with existing enterprise virtualization systems, and use it to host () hosting existing virtual servers or virtual appliances (Virtual Appliance).

Cloud Data Center

The Cloud Data Center (DPC) is the computing lease service (IaaS) of our cloud platform to build your own infrastructure in the cloud. You get full access to a completely isolated, autonomous infrastructure and incredible management capabilities.

Once you get the Cloud Data Center, you own your own virtual data center. You no longer need to think about building or operating your own data center or at least a "server" one. You don't have to buy or rent servers. There is no need to bear the costs of repair and operation of servers, worry about forced downtime. A cloud data center has virtually infinite resources and its hardware never fails.

The cloud data center allows (as of September 2013):

• independently create virtual machines of the required configuration
• manage network configuration, consolidate virtual machines into required network topologies using virtual switches and routers
• delete virtual machines, turn them on and off, install almost any OS and applications
• change the configuration of existing virtual machines in a few minutes, and some operations for some operating systems are carried out even without stopping or rebooting
• make backups and save the states of running machines in a few clicks of the mouse.
