At the "Mondi Business Paper Syktyvkar Timber Industry Complex" enterprise, the producer of pulp-and-paper products entering into the international Mondi group the project on integration of the systems of production planning on the basis of the SAP product NetWeaver XI came to the end.

Planning process of production in the international holding consists of several stages, each of which is implemented in a separate information system. Long-term production planning is conducted at head office in Austria from where then production plans are transferred to plants. These plans come to ERP systems of plants where they are optimized and change. On Syktyvkar timber industry complex it is implemented in the module RR of the SAP ERP system. Process of optimization of cutting of a paper cloth is conducted in the CPM system from ABB Oy company.

The customer formulated the purpose of this project as implementation of information exchange of all systems which participate in planning process at all its stages. As an integration tool the SAP product NetWeaver XI which provided integration of different applications and systems by means of the organization of message exchange between them was used. The Magnetosoft company executing it jointly with specialists of the customer became the contractor of the project. Changes affected five workshops of production of finished goods and management of logistics.

During the project the description and design of business processes was executed, the three-level structure of correction of plan targets for production is formalized. All processes were separated into four key chains taking into account specialization of production divisions and also the detailed scheme of interaction of information subsystems, including SAP ERP regarding preliminary planning, ABB CPM for "exact" planning, and a production control subsystem (internal development of the customer) is constructed.

For implementation of interaction of information subsystems it was required to design and implement several groups of integration scenarios: for synchronization of master data - on the basis of the IDOC adapter; for interaction with SAP ERP - on the basis of the RFC adapter, with the synchronous and asynchronous modes; for interaction with a production control subsystem - on the basis of the JDBC adapter.

During implementation interrelations of data structures were constructed (mepping), specialized functions on Java are developed. All objects of integration are saved in a repository of Business Object Repository. Implementation of the automation equipment of planning, according to the customer, gave the chance to the enterprise to optimize interaction of divisions in production planning process, to lower labor costs in processes of correction of production targets at all planning levels, to reduce losses of finished goods.
