"BIN Insurance" implements artificial intelligence in processing system of documents

On September 25, 2013 Cognitive Technologies announced system implementation of artificial intelligence in BIN Insurance company.

Project Task

Cognitive Technologies implemented the system of artificial intelligence which makes mass input, processing and automatic identification of insurance documents in BIN Insurance company.

The main problem of developers consisted in the solution of a problem of automatic detection of a document type. A system had to learn to define what document is entered into it: the insurance policy of the COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE, the CMTPL, a photocopy of the car driver license, the passport, the receipt on payment, etc. and depending on contents to send the document to appropriate section of an internal system of document flow.

Project Progress

"In the implemented system there is a module allowing to train a system in understanding of different document types. In fact, we speak about the cognitive technologies modeling the basic thought processes of the person today. The intelligence of our system allows to distinguish all their main types provided in internal office-work of insurance company. But possibilities of artificial intelligence allow in the future to learn to learn almost unlimited types of documents that speaks about its considerable potential", - Vladimir Arlazarov, the head of department of development of systems of mass input of the documents Cognitive Technologies, PhD in Technological Sciences noted.

The project is implemented based on technology of mass input of the documents Cognitive Forms. In its framework the Cognitive Technologies company integrated the system of mass input of insurance documents into electronic archive "Insurance BIN".
