The department of health care of the Tyumen region provides to health facilities access to archive of medical images

On September 26, 2013 division "Corus Consulting of IT" reported: the staff of the company implements the project on creation of uniform archive of medical images in the Tyumen region. A system allows the staff of health facilities to see images from computer tomographs of other health facilities for 200 km. The customer - Department of health care of the Tyumen region.

Project Objectives

The project is implemented within the actions of the regional program of upgrade of health care of the Tyumen region for 2011-2013 and within maintaining the long-term regional target program "Main Directions of Development of Health Care" of the Tyumen region for 2013-2015.

Project Progress

Within the project the necessary software including digital archive of health facilities, the external multimodal workstation of the doctor with a possibility of 3D reconstruction and the manager of the work list is delivered to four regional hospitals and works on connection of expensive computer tomographs are performed.

The uniform archive of medical images is implemented on the basis of the software package intended for automation of work of the diagnostic offices working with the medical images received using the different medical visualizing devices (ultrasonic devices, digital x-ray devices, x-ray computer tomographs, magnetic and resonant tomographs, positron and issue tomographs, etc.) capable to save and transfer images according to the DICOM standard.

Results of creation of uniform electronic archive of medical images:

• diagnostics quality improvement: access for doctors to medical images for the organization of consultations and consultations of doctors;
• economy of supplies: pictures are printed and register only for issue in hands to patients, or for consultation in health facilities which are not connected to a single network. In other cases they are stored in computer archive;
• saving of time: any x-ray can be taken in the shortest possible time from archive;

significant economy of the place as need to store x-rays disappears: everything is in uniform electronic archive.
