Volga Organic synthesis (IMaint)

The AND Project company (file) completed an implementation project of the iMaint EAM system in the Volga Organic Synthesis chemical company, having automated management of fixed assets and assets of the enterprise. Project implementation took eight months.

As a result of implementation at the enterprise the single system of accounting of the equipment, planning of repairs, planning of logistics and labor resources is created. The solution supports personnel records of repair services, performing diagnostics of the equipment, purchase, inventory accounting of spare parts and component parts. Qualifiers of the equipment and material resources were developed, actions on process optimization of supply, the organization of execution of works and their accounting are offered. During the project data about more than 12,000 items of equipment which became a basis of the database of an information system were collected and systematized.

The chemical company is characterized by capital productive type of production, and maintenance makes a considerable part of production costs and affects product cost. Therefore ensuring effective planning and accounting of all scheduled scheduled maintenance became one of the main objectives of the project. An EAM system, including the modules "assets", "spare parts and warehouses", "work requests", "orders", "planning", "purchases and supply", "reports and diagrams", is implemented on one of the largest workshops of the enterprise for production of methionine.

In December, 2006 trial operation of a system was begun. Further solution deployment at all enterprise is planned that will allow to achieve transparency of activity regarding maintenance and repairs and also to integrate enterprise asset management systems with a corporate information system. By the end of 2007 the enterprise should have an opportunity, on the basis of the history of the performed works, to analyze key performance indicators (KPI).

The curator of the project Alexander Pavlovich Kashcheev, the chief economist - the head of information technology of Volga Organic Synthesis company, considers that a system will allow to reduce the number of abnormal repairs, to provide stability of production, to reveal additional reserves for increase in production volumes and quality improvement of products.
