Volzhsky Pipe Plant summed up the results of use of SAP Work Manager

Volzhsky Pipe Plant entering into Pipe Metallurgical Co. by 3 times increased amount of the revealed defects of the equipment and reduced abnormal idle times in 6 months of commercial operation of SAP Work Manager by 38%, reported SAP CIS in June, 2017. Implementation of the mobile solution for status monitoring of the equipment was provided by Yingnowei company.

The solution allows to receive orders for equipment bypasses for mobile devices of repair personnel and to control their accomplishment by reading of NFC of the tags filled on the equipment. Also via the mobile device the inspector enters into SAP ERP information on the found defects and indications of sensors.

Also it was succeeded to avoid filling of paper magazines and to provide a single system of control of bypasses, fixing and the analysis of the defects revealed on the equipment and the made measurements, information on which continuously comes to SAP ERP. In a system real statistics on the equipment collects that allows to plan its service, scheduled preventive maintenance, the order of spare parts.

"The analysis of change of parameters of a condition of equipment will allow to plan precisely repairs and to pass in the long term to service and repair of the equipment on technical condition. It is more profitable not only in terms of cost reduction, but also reliability assurance", - the chief of service of planning of maintenance and repair of Volzhsky Pipe Plant Yudin Evgeny emphasized.

In 2017 replication of the project is planned for other workshops of Volzhsky Pipe Plant.
