The name of the base system (platform): | SAP HANA (High Performance Analytic Appliance) |
Developers: | T-Systems |
Technology: | IaaS - Infrastructure as service, SaaS - the Software as service |
The T-Systems platform - Dynamic Cloud Platform (DCP) provides to clients the unified access to all cloud services, such as Infrastructure as a Service, Collaboration as a Service or Software as a Service. It is a single scalable platform with the automated processes which considerably simplifies adding of new applications.
T-Systems will gradually transfer systems which were still distributed on several cloud platforms to a new environment in close cooperation with customers. According to plans of the company, in the future new cloud solutions will be started by the developer only on the DCP platform.
According to representatives of T-Systems, standardization on the Dynamic Cloud Platform platform will help to cut down operating costs. The automated processes will allow to unroll new landscapes within several hours or days. Besides, users of a new cloud environment will get advantage at the expense of the raised service level: a system will continue to work during the updates necessary for maintenance, and even when updating the central components, emphasized in the company. Technical specialists will be able without breaks in work to disconnect separate elements for maintenance as a system independently performs redirection of traffic.
Instead of one-gigabit infrastructure between all DCP components excess fiber optic connection 10GbE (Gigabit Ethernet) in which the principle of QoS (Quality of Service) for prioritizing of traffic is implemented is used now. For providing system availability all DCP resources are constructed by the principle of a double core. Therefore backup copies are always stored in the second data center that guarantees disaster recovery of data, explained in T-Systems. In case of refusal the separate systems other systems automatically assume loading.
