Sidiky changes the platform of the service

On October 22, 2013 the Microsoft Rus company announced project completion of transfer of services of SIDIKOM company on the Windows platform of Azure.

Project Tasks

The SIDIKOM company to the project placed Progorod service in three own data centers. Intensive development resulted in the shortage of the existing capacities over time, at increase in loading the risk of failures in a system appeared. In addition, operation of data centers, ensuring their smooth operation required the considerable expenses connected with power supply and repair of servers, costs for permanent condition monitoring and periodic updating of the server park.

Infrastructure of DPCs limited possibilities of fast selection of additional computing resources in case of sharp jump of number of requests of users.

Project Results

After transfer of Progorod service in Windows Azure cloud the number of DPCs of "SIDIKOM" was reduced to one.

"We had typical inconveniences arising at operation of own data centers: ensuring a power supply, failures in works of internal network of data center, burning out of the equipment, the high cost of service and monitoring and also "slowness" of solutions therefore we switch to cloud computing and selected Windows Azure", – Konstantin Anikeev, the head of software development, SIDIKOM company noted.
