2021: Use of SED "Atlas" version 6.6

On November 17, 2021, Atlas Soft announced that Biotempex was using SED Etla of version 6.6.

Biotempex supplies medical laboratory equipment and reagents for laboratory diagnostics, clinical biochemistry and electrophoretic analysis.

The specifics of this business are that the nomenclature of reagents is quite large, while many customers buy them in a particular assortment regularly or periodically.

Each delivery is accompanied by a voluminous package of documents. For their preparation, Biotempex uses the Etla electronic document management system version 6.6.

The company has already partially used electronic documents. The increase in their volume raised the question of introducing an electronic document management system that would completely abandon paper documents and at the same time increase the efficiency of work. Many partners and clients of Biotempex have already introduced electronic document management, so improving business processes in this direction is a timely and economically justified solution.

The choice of software solution from Atlas-Soft was dictated not only by the functionality of the system, but also by the ability to flexibly adapt it to the peculiarities of the company's business. Biotempex specialists compiled a technical assignment in which they listed the main and additional requirements for the electronic document management system. In particular, it was necessary to develop an additional mechanism for registering customer applications that meets certain requirements, create several specialized related directories in the document card and write a number of automatically triggered scripts that will check the uniqueness of the selected directory values.

The standard version of the electronic document management system "Etla" can work "out of the box" and after minimal configuration provides:

  • automatic processing of incoming requests and other correspondence;
  • creation of electronic documents based on the templates available in the program or developed using the built-in designer;
  • Collaboration with documents
  • Integration with warehouse and accounting programs
  • preparation of reports;
  • signing of documents EDS and their transfer to counterparties; e-mail
  • Automatic archiving of executed documents.

To fulfill the requirements of the technical assignment, Atlas-Soft specialists studied the peculiarities of the Biotempex document flow: how applications are received from customers, how they are registered and processed, etc. Based on the information collected, scripts and all necessary additions were developed and written.

After the installation of the Etla SED on Biotempex servers and workstations, the system was configured and its operability was fully checked. The work was carried out by Atlas-Soft engineers together with the customer's IT specialists: they told users about the features of the electronic document management system, demonstrated its capabilities using specific examples.

Biotempex employees met with great interest with innovation and expect that the introduction of the electronic document management system will reduce the amount of routine work related to the processing of customer applications and the preparation of accompanying documents. The management of Biotempex, for its part, expects an improvement in the performance of the company.

2016: Biotempex switched to Etla SED version 5.6

After three years of successful use electronic document management systems Etla , Biotempex has migrated from version 4.0 to version 5.6.

The result of the implementation of the system was the automation of the office's correspondence registration department, as well as the organization of control over the movement of incoming and outgoing documents, and the automation of key document management and interaction processes at Biotempex LLC.

The transition to a new version of the system allowed specialists to use new functions and modules, such as:

  • Create custom filter folders in the browser that display documents according to your search criteria. A number of prebuilt filters have been added, such as Editable Documents, which displays all documents edited by the current user.
  • Updated route editing module: creation of user routes has become easier and faster.
  • Sending documents to a child process from the main process and suspending its execution.
  • Specify a user group as the job performer. The job is assigned to the first user to take the job into operation.
  • The function of starting the document in the process/distribution directly from its card at the time of its creation.
  • Set the criticality status for certain business process actions. Marked in red in the actions list and in the incoming jobs list.
  • Direct response to user notification.
  • Time Slot Editor to describe due dates and retention for different types of documents.
  • Maintain versivity of routes modified in the route editor.
  • Document distribution sheet printout.
  • Ability to use a Lua script-computed column in the generated report.
  • The web client has been updated and is using the latest version of 3rd generation Twitter Bootstrap.
  • Optimized search by document content.
  • Advanced functionality of the document scanning subsystem.

2012: Start of implementation of SED "Etla"

Atlas-Soft has initiated the implementation of the Etla electronic document management and business process management system at Biotempex ( www.biotechimpex.ru).

The purpose of the first phase of the implementation is to automate the work of the correspondence registration department of the office, as well as to organize control over the movement of incoming and outgoing documents. Also, during the first stage of implementation, it is planned to automate the key processes of document management and interaction at Biotempex LLC.
