2024: Switching to Independent System Software
Specialists of NPP SpetsTek have completed a project to transfer the information system for support of maintenance and repair management of the Kursk NPP Desna-2 to import-independent system software. Spectec announced this on June 13, 2024.
Desna-2 Maintenance and Repair Management Support Information System (MRO and Repair System) has been operating at Kurskaya the NPP since September 2007. Work on its implementation was carried out at one time by NPP SpetsTek on the basis software TRIM of a domestic product of the class (EAM Enterprise Asset Management).
Basic functionality of MRO ISDR covers accounting of maintenance and repair facilities (MR) and their movements, taking into account the technical condition of MR facilities (including the maintenance of a defect log), planning of scheduled works and adjustment of plans (taking into account defects, comments on rounds, unscheduled works), creation of repair scope lists and management of power units WEP projects, preparation and execution of M&R (including the maintenance of a work log and work reports), bypass of workplaces by heads of departments, etc.
During the operation of the system, it was scaled several times, in particular, the number of users increased from 369 to 859. The size of the MRO data base reached 40 GB. Work on the development of the system was also carried out within the framework of technical support contracts, the subject of which were, among other things, decisions on normalizing the equipment database, automating the process of loading data into the system, calculating and presenting key performance indicators.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated 30.03.2022 No. 166 "On Measures to Ensure Technological Independence and Security of the Critical Information Infrastructure of the Russian Federation," JSC Concern Rosenergoatom began switching to import-independent system software.
In this regard, a large-scale import-substituting project was launched at the Kursk NPP in December 2022, the main task of which was to transfer the Desna-2 system to PostgreSQL DBMS and AstraLinux OS.
NPP SpetsTek, as the executor of this project, performed an audit of the current state of the maintenance and repair system. Further, work was carried out on the migration of data the MRO ISDR base to PostgreSQL DBMS and the migration of servers TRIM applications to Astra. Linux Administrators were trained to work on the import-independent platform, the instructions of administrators and users were updated. The reporting forms are adapted to work on an import-independent platform. To ensure the independence of the client part of the MRO ISDR from the software and hardware of the user workstations, the system functions are implemented in the web interface.
By June 2024, work on the project at the Kursk nuclear power plant was completed.
2013: Start of work on solving the problem "Analysis of MRO efficiency"
On October 22, 2013, NPP SpetsTek announced the start of work on solving the task "Analysis of MRO efficiency" in the information system for supporting the maintenance and repair management of Desna-2 at the Kursk nuclear power plant.
Project objectives
The basis for the start of work is the production necessity of analyzing the effectiveness of maintenance and repair (MR), according to RD EO 0069-97 "Rules for organizing maintenance and repair of systems and equipment of nuclear power plants" and industrial safety requirements.
The Kursk NPP has been using the Maintenance and Repair Management Support Information System (MRO ISMS) since 2007. The system was implemented on the TRIM software platform by NPP SpetsTek with the active participation of specialists of the Kursk nuclear power plant, taking into account the previous experience of introducing and using this system at the Smolensk nuclear power plant.
Project progress
As the system was used at the Kursk NPP, its phased development took place: at the time of commissioning, in September 2007, 360 users worked in the system, by October 22, 2013 their number reached 520. An important stage of development is the integration of TRIM with the Oracle Primavera project management system, with the Personnel system.
The next stage of the system development was started by the announcement of an open request for prices on the Manufacturer trading platform for the implementation of the task "Analysis of MRO efficiency" on KuNPP the system of ISMS " MR TRIM Software Package" Gum-2(""). Following the results of the trade procedure in September 2013 Kursk NPP , she entered into an agreement SPCtek with the performance of these works.
Project expectations
The result of the works should be the ability to measure, store and analyze the MRO indicators regulated by the guiding documents in the field of NPP operation in the MRO ISDR. In particular, the users of the MRO IMS should have the specified opportunities in relation to the following indicators:
- planned unavailability factor of the system (planned non-use of power unit power);
- planned unavailability factor of the system (unplanned non-use of power of the unit) due to recapitulation in planned MR;
- coefficient of unscheduled unavailability of the system (unscheduled non-use of power of the unit) caused by its unscheduled MR due to equipment failures or detected deterioration of its condition;
- safety system unavailability factor;
- index of significant malfunctions caused by equipment failures in NPP operation classified according to the International Event Scale (INES);
- equipment maintenance and repair cost indicators.
Completion is planned in December 2013.
