On October 22, 2013 to NPP Spectec was announced the beginning of works on the solution of a task "Efficiency analysis of a MRO" in an information system of support of management of maintenance and repairs by Desna-2 of the Kursk nuclear power plant.

Project Tasks

The basis for works - business necessity of carrying out efficiency analysis of maintenance and repair (MRO), according to RD EO 0069-97 "Rule of the organization of maintenance and repair of systems and the equipment of nuclear power plants" and requirements of industrial security.

The Kursk NPP uses an information system of support of management of maintenance and repairs (MRO ISPU) since 2007. A system is implemented on a software platform of TRIM by forces of NPP Spectec company with active participation of specialists of the Kursk nuclear power plant taking into account the previous experience of implementation and use of this system on the Smolensk NPP.

Project Progress

In process of use of a system on the Kursk NPP there was its step-by-step development: at the time of commissioning, in September, 2007, in a system 360 users worked, by October 22, 2013 their quantity reached 520. An important stage of development - integration of TRIM with Oracle Primavera project management system, with the Personnel system.

The next stage of development of a system is begun with the declaration of open request for quotations on Fabrikant marketplace, regarding execution of works on implementation of a task "Efficiency analysis of a MRO" on KUAES in the MRO ISPU system "A complex of the software tools TRIM" (Desna-2). According to the results of the trade procedure in September, 2013 the Kursk NPP signed the agreement with NPP Spectec on accomplishment of the specified works.

Expectations from the project

An opportunity to perform in MRO ISPU measurement, storage and the analysis of the indicators of a MRO regulated by regulating documents in the field of operation of the NPP should become result of works. In particular, users of ISPU of a MRO should have specified opportunities concerning the following indicators:

  • coefficient of planned unavailability of a system (planned non-use of power of the power unit);
  • coefficient of planned unavailability of a system (not planned non-use of power of the block) because of reidle time in a planned MRO;
  • coefficient of not planned unavailability of a system (not planned non-use of the power of the block) caused by its not planned MRO because of hardware failures or the detected deterioration in its status;
  • coefficient of unavailability of a security system;
  • the index of the considerable violations caused by hardware failures in work of AS classified by the International scale of events (INES);
  • equipment MRO cost indexes.

Completion of works is planned in December, 2013.
