MegaFon integrated medical institutions of the Bryansk region in a single virtual network

On October 23, 2013 the MegaFon company announced the beginning of the Health care project which will integrate all medical institutions of the Bryansk region in a single virtual network. Project orderer department of health care of the Bryansk region.

In project plans construction of a data network by means of the communication fiber lines (CFL) and radio channels.

The project supposes to implement state programs: "Electronic card of the patient" and "Remote diagnosis of a disease".

The operator is going to connect about 60 large health facilities of the Bryansk region to network. For October 23, 2013 20 organizations work. The single network will provide existence of a video conferencing between health facilities.

Using a single network of data transmission wherever there was a patient, the doctor will be able always to learn history of his disease and to carry out diagnostics. Besides, the staff of medical institutions will use corporate mobile communication that will significantly reduce communication expenses. It is in the long term going to provide to medical institutions the wire Internet and the fixed telephony", - Vladimir Palakyan, the director of the Bryansk department of MegaFon company noted.

2015

October 02, 2015. MegaFon company together with Department of health care of the Bryansk region announced implementation of a number of telecommunication solutions within the regional Health care project.

Project History

The Health care project is implemented since 2013. It includes construction of a trusted network of data transmission which ensures effective functioning to the regional and federal services developed under the direction of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation — "The electronic medical record" and "Remote making an appointment with the doctor". Thanks to the project, the regional medical organizations can collect necessary data on the patient who arrived to them in a few minutes, accelerate processes of diagnosing and to appoint treatment. The electronic medical record of the patient is available to the doctor from any device connected to the general network organized by company "MegaFon".

Besides, the single network provides medical institutions with a video conferencing.

Project Progress

In the summer of this year within the Health care program MegaFon concluded the construction agreement of network and connection of access points to services of fixed connection for GAUZ of Trubchevsk of central district hospital, Suzemsky central district hospital, GAUZ "Novozybkovsky Dental Clinic" and GAUZ "The Bryansk Regional Hospital for Veterans of War". Besides, the service provision agreement of data transmission to the largest organization of the region – the Bryansk city hospital No. 1 is signed. Today within the project communication provides 67 health facilities of the Bryansk region.

The project allowed to increase availability of medical services to the population and also to increase the speed and quality of interaction between medical institutions of the region, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.

Now in hospitals and clinics will work with special medical records - electronic analogs of normal paper cards of the patient. All necessary information will be stored in them: clinical record, results of inspections and appointments. Such "virtual" card will help to exclude risk of data loss and will be available to doctors in all medical institutions of the region. It is sure that this project will allow patients to receive better and convenient service in clinics, and to the Bryansk physicians, to make the daily work the most effective", - the director of the Bryansk regional department of MegaFon company Vladimir Palakyan noted.
