KAMIS are the end-to-end automated museum information system.

The version KAMIS 2000 is created on the basis of experience of development and deployment of the previous versions of a system and is constantly improved.

Description

KAMIS are the modern museum information system providing the solution of a wide range of museum tasks. With its help in the museums the integrated databases of museum collections containing different environments (texts, images, audio, videos, animation) integrated by hyper media links are created. A system is implemented on modern DBMS Oracle.

KAMIS structure information, implement quick search and data sampling on all attributes, their combinations, conduct accounting transactions and prepare different types of lists, directories, documents, electronic interactive publications, summary databases with access from the Internet.

Special system modules allow to conduct monitoring of restoration works, to correlate museum collections and objects to immovable monuments of historical and cultural heritage, to prepare multimedia publications on collections of the museum, its history, exposure, temporary exhibitions for further placement in the Internet, on electronic touchscreen kiosks, or for further record on a compact disk and many other things.
