Performance Lab replaced a hosting of a cloud mail service

On October 30, 2013 ALV Group announced completion of works on transfer of a corporate mail system of Performance Lab company to Microsoft Office 365 of closed a hosting service on the Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2007 platform.

Project Task

The Performance Lab company applied to placement of the mail system one of external the hosting services using Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2007 since 2010. With emergence in the Russian Microsoft Office 365 market the company made decisions on transition to Microsoft Exchange Online. The main reason of such solution - financial reasons: the cost of lease of Microsoft Hosted Exchange was much higher. Besides, the time difference and absence at provider of Russian-speaking specialists did not allow Performance Lab to get full technical support.

Project Progress

Project implementation met unforeseen difficulties – the host provider refused to grant the administrative rights to access to Exchange that made impossible process of migration using the built-in means of Microsoft Office 365. Performance Lab addressed to ALV Group.

Engineers of the contractor came to a conclusion about need of the combined solution. Works on debugging were continued about two weeks and confirmed a basic possibility of migration then execution began.

Migration of 200 users occupied 3 working days.
