GVTs of Roshydromet creates a corporate system of unified communications

On November 5, 2013 the company I-Teco announced project completion on creation of a pilot system of unified communications for federal state budgetary Institution "GVTs of Roshydromet" on the platform of products Lync and Exchange.

Project Task

"The system of unified communications complies with high technical requirements to performance, reliability, scalability, ergonomics and flexibility of management which were formulated by us, – Vladimir Antsypovich, the director of Federal State Budgetary Institution GVTs Roshydromet noted. – With assistance of our experts engineers of I-Teco system integrator with which we are connected by experience of long-term successful cooperation provided not only the new means for interaction of employees which are completely integrated into infrastructure of the organization, but also an opportunity for further development of the solution. Effective communications of operational divisions – a basis of operational activity of Roshydromet therefore we consider a pilot project a good basis for widespread introduction in Service".

Project Progress

During the project I-Teco deployed the communication services:

• e-mail with functional subsystems of transport, client access, mail storage and protection against spam and viruses;
• the joint communications providing instant messaging, presence determination, carrying out audio-video and web conferences, monitoring and archiving of history of interaction.

Communication services involved in operational interaction about 200 key staff of Roshydromet from Federal State Budgetary Institution GVTs Roshydromet and "Hydrometeorological center of Russia", Central office and regional divisions of service UGMS/TsGMS.

The first stage of a pilot project specialists of I-Teco unrolled key components of services.

Within the second – completed setup, integration with backup systems and recovery, identification and authorization of employees, protection against the malware, a complex of management and operation of information resources of Federal State Budgetary Institution GVTs Roshydromet.

Results of a pilot project are used for creation of points including mobile, the distributed situational center of Roshydromet.

Project Results

Due to information exchange internal communications became simpler, time and labor costs were reduced by holding the operational and planned meetings, the efficiency of joint work of staff of Roshydromet increased.
