MTs DVFU will organize a wireless network in the territory of clinic

On November 5, 2013 the Technoserv group announced end of the complex project on creation of infocommunication infrastructure for "Medical medical and research center and the academic building of the medical block" Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok on Russky Island.

Project Progress

In the new building of the medical center about 64 thousand sq.m Technoserv created the single system integrating a telecommunication component, the specialized medical systems and the system of security. According to the contract Technoserv is obliged to execute a full range of "turnkey" works, including design, supply of equipment, construction and commissioning. The first is at the moment executed – the main stage of works.

Within the project are created: telecommunication infrastructure, including a wireless network of Wi-fi with the system of positioning RFID, multimedia call center, management systems for hospital chamber, the system of disturbing signaling of medical chambers and an interphone system of operating rooms, the system of digital television and the system of broadcasting of city broadcasting network, the system of electromaster clock system and so forth.

The conference room of the medical center is equipped with the system of the video conferencing integrated with the hardware and software system "Telemedicine" providing broadcast of video signals of the medical equipment from operating rooms on monitors (on completion of works 6 operating rooms will be connected to a system), in an information network of clinic or in the Internet. The multi-layer system of security of the building including subsystems of control and access control, security video surveillance, security and disturbing signaling, the automatic fire warning, etc. is constructed. Server premises are equipped the systems of engineering support (conditioning systems, uninterrupted power, gas fire extinguishing and so forth).

The Technoserv Consulting company entering into the Technoserv group implemented the end-to-end information system on the platform of industry solution of SAP for health care covering key processes of clinic by the time of opening of the Medical center: registries (maintaining the schedule, a design of patients on acceptance, etc.), accounting of cases of out-patient and hospital treatment, maintaining basic clinical documentation and also formation of the basic analytical reports.

Process automation of operating activities, hi-tech medical care, kliniko-expert work, instrumental diagnostics, processes of rehabilitation and recovery medicine, nursing care and also integration into the laboratory equipment and the system of archiving and transfer of images (PACS), development of the electronic passport of organization, the register of health workers, the register of chronic patients and the organization of information exchange with other medical organizations will become the next stages.

"Our medical center is unique for Russia and will provide to clients medical care using the latest developments of science and hi-tech medical equipment. Not only reliable and modern IT infrastructure and smoothly running information services, but also the organization of its most effective use by both patients, and medical staff is important for us. For example, the wireless network of Wi-fi in our medical center is necessary not only for online access of employees to information systems and Internet connection, convenient for patients, but also for tracking, for example, of the mobile medical equipment", – Oleg Pak, the director of the DVFU Medical center noted.

The wireless Wi-Fi-network is constructed on the equipment of production of Cisco company, 150 access points include and has compatibility with various client devices. It provides a covering of all territory of the medical center and allows to service up to 7 thousand users at the same time. The Wi-Fi-network increases mobility of staff of hospital and provides them online access to necessary data: directly from chamber of the patient from the tablet computer the doctor can get access to the electronic clinical record, look at information from the database, write the patient on analyses online, look at availability of procedural offices, availability of necessary drugs, etc. Also comfortable "guest" Internet connection for patients and visitors is provided.

The wireless network supports function of positioning of radio-frequency tags on RFID technology. Thanks to it a system can keep track of location or movement to 1 thousand objects with RFID tags, to process data on their provision on interactive building plans and to store the history of movements. A system is used for localization of location of patients, staff of hospital and a mobile equipment with an accuracy of 1 meter using different types of RFID tags. So, active tags badges with function of paging for medical staff allow to transfer to the employee the short message, tags bracelets keep track of location of patients, and tags devices – the figurative equipment, wheelchairs, wheelchairs other.

However this project demanded from our command and contractors of the special relation, first, because of implementation deadlines, secondly, because of a large number of the versatile specialized systems which were required be "coordinated" in uniform, reliably and accurately working organism.
