On November 6, 2013 Company JDA Software Group, Inc. announced implementation by group energy and the Shell petrochemical companies of a cloud solution JDA Enterprise Store Operations (ESO) as a key component of the program of upgrade of the systems of gas station in 2300 sales points.
Project Progress
The departments of JDA providing cloud and consulting services (JDA Cloud Services and JDA Consulting Services) in cooperation with Shell company and its partners defined necessary modules and the configuration meeting the commercial requirements of Shell.
The solution JDA ESO is integrated in a row third-party developments through a middle software of Shell, and now helps to carry out export of the data on stocks, sales and retail payments, management of fuel consumption, to replenishment action and pricing given for accounting and electronic order placement at suppliers.
Implementing solution helped Shell company to implement effective management of difficult transactions in the international retail network from various outlets with different cross dependence, a set of already implemented solutions and the established vendor relations. The first implementation took place in Norway, in 2010. For the period till November 6, 2013 the Shell company deployed the solution approximately in 2300 points of retail sale, in nine countries of the world, including Denmark, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the Republic of South Africa, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Project Results
The Shell company faced requirements about compliance of products and a problem of a variety of solutions in view of historically developed consecutive approach to mastering of the markets integrated to increase in expenses and difficulty of maintenance of suitable maintenance strategy. Thanks to the solution JDA ESO implemented by means of cloud services of JDA, the Shell company can standardize formats of data now and on a centralized basis carry out many tasks of a reporting preparation and data management. It will allow Shell company to control better stocks, having achieved active management of points of retail sales and improvement of customer service quality. In addition, it will allow to simplify process of a software update and to eliminate many weak points connected with existence of a set of local solutions and application of different formats of data.
