Yakutskenergo upgrades IT infrastructure

On November 6, 2013 the R-Style group announced upgrade of IT infrastructure of JSC Yakutskenergo.

Project Tasks

The R-Style system integrator upgraded the data processing center (DPC) and the structured cabling system (SCS) in JSC Yakutskenergo. Engineering infrastructure of DPC is constructed in executive directorate of the company, and works on upgrade of SCS took place in JSC Yakutskenergo branch of JSC – "The central electric networks". At design and creation of systems extremely difficult climatic conditions were considered – objects are located in Yakutsk, the largest city in permafrost zone.

Project Progress

R-Style acted as the general contractor of both projects. Except low Arctic temperatures of work complicated that they were executed on the operating objects on condition of their regular functioning. The engineering systems of DPC were under construction on the basis of server, with the functioning equipment which at that time ensured functioning of key business systems of the customer. The upgrade of SCS including updating of a local computer network and power electric network did not influence operating activities of the company.

In again constructed DPC the contractor carries out construction works:

• the premises are equipped,
• installation of a raised floor, cable channels and other operation and management systems of an object is made;

Mounting works of the equipment of the machine hall:

• server and telecommunication cabinets are set,
• conditioning systems, monitoring and power supply.

On construction of DPC solutions of APC by Schneider Electric company and the German company Stulz are used. The constructed system of precision air conditioning on the equipment Stulz allows to support a necessary microclimate in DPC at a temperature of fresh air up to -60 °C that is very relevant in the conditions of severe Arctic climate in Yakutsk the region.
