The Russian company Movavi which develops the software for work with multimedia in April, 2020 announced that it updated the Movavi Video Converter and Movavi Video Converter Premium programs.

"Movavi Video Converter"

The design is updated for Movavi Video Converter 20.1 version, settings of quality of audiofiles and a preseta for the last smartphones appeared.

In Converter it is possible to change a format of video, photos and audio. The program supports more than 180 formats: AVI, MKV, MP4, MOV and others.

In the program of version 20.1 the color gamma, a form of buttons and location of different fields changed, the list of icons extended. Developers added hints which will help to begin quicker work and will explain purpose of buttons and tabs.

In the program ready templates with settings for popular devices appeared. Among them Samsung Galaxy S10e, Honor 10 View Huawei Mate 20, iPhone 11 and others. The converter supports also video of formats 2K and 4K.

"Movavi Video Converter Premium"

Movavi Video Converter Premium version 20.1 the updated design, had preseta for the last smartphones.

In Converter of Premium it is possible to change a format of video, photos and audio, and then to edit the file. In the built-in editor users will delete unnecessary fragments of video, will add filters, will select subtitlings.

The updated interface still dark. At the same time the choice of icons extended, the form of buttons and tabs changed, color accents exchanged. There were hints which will help new users to orient with the program and to begin work.

Subtitlings to video can be found directly through Converter now. The program looks for subtitlings in open base opensubtitles.org by the title of the movie or number of a season and a series. Subtitlings are added to the first series automatically. Besides, users can configure color of subtitlings, add an inking and adjust transparency.

Right after converting it is possible to edit the file – to increase volume, to add filters and effects, to insert introductory credits. The program learned to delete unnecessary fragments to within a fraction of a second. In the editor users will turn vertical video and will fill edges, will reduce effect of "a fish eye", will add a vignette and will make the image more accurate.

2013: "Movavi Video Converter for Mac" 4.0

The Russian software company Movavi, one of software makers for work with video, considerably updated Movavi Video Converter for Mac. Version 4.0 received the new Russian-language interface, the processed converting engine, function of superfast converting SuperSpeed and autotune for preserving of the maximum level of quality of video.

Video Converter updated Movavi for Mac became more powerful and fast. In comparison with the old version the processing speed of video grew by 3-4 times for all combinations of entrance and output formats. For some scenarios the 81-fold growth of speed of converting is recorded. According to internal measurements of the company, 30-minute video of the AVI (H.264) format with a capacity of 2.29 GB with the resolution of 1920x1080 is converted into MP4 format in 4 minutes 35 seconds while the competing products Roxio, Xilisoft and Cyberlink at the same parameters show results not less than 1 hours 23 minutes.

Support of new multimedia formats

The list of new entrance formats includes SWF, ASF, WebM, OGV, RM and WTV. Output formats were replenished with MKV, OGV, WebM, MOV, MPEG-TS, 3G2 (3GPP2) and SWF. At SuperSpeed-converting it is impossible to change the video codec, bitrate value, the size, permission and file size, however editing (cutting) is available. To cut a certain scene or to cut off the movie since the beginning or the end, the user needs just to expose markers of the left and right border in a window of a preview and to select one of converting profiles with the SuperSpeed logo that processing of video took place on maximum speed.

Converting of video for mobile devices

Movavi Video Converter for Mac received a number of new ready settings for modern mobile devices. It became even simpler to save movies for a certain model of the gadget. The list of profiles (or 'preset') was replenished with new models of devices of Apple (iPod, iPhone 5S and 5C, iPad Air and iPad mini), Amazon Kindle Fire tablets, smartphones and tablets based on Android, the phones Nokia Lumia, Motorola, lines of Samsung Galaxy, Google Nexus and many others.

"Smart" autotunes of converting

The processed automatic profiles of converting were optimized for preserving of the maximum level of quality in the final file. All parameters, behind an exception of a format and the codec (for normal, not superfast converting) automatically remain same as in initial video or the closest are selected. Advanced users can change parameters of final files manually in a convenient dialog box of Setup which was unified for all formats.

At change of an aspect ratio and permission the new option of a task of width/height of a frame automatically 'enters" video in the given size of a frame without distortions. Besides, at change of parameters of video the Movavi converter cannot increase initial resolution that would lead to picture-quality degradation. Permission either will remain the same, or will be reduced depending on the selected settings.

New interface

In the new version of the program there was a redesign of its graphical interface. All information on initial video is conveniently located in the list of the added files. Here it is possible to see the size of final video after converting. The interface also allows to change the name of the file at the exit and to separate a preview window from the main panel for transferring on the second monitor.
