Software of IBM will integrate foreign "subsidiaries" of Sberbank on the intranet

At the end of December, 2013 Sberbank is going to begin test operation international the intranet portal to which access for staff of its subsidiary banks and companies which are located in 20 countries, including the CIS countries and also the countries of Central and Eastern Europe will be organized.

The portal will function based on the solutions IBM WebSphere Portal (it is used also for the intranet portal of Sberbank in Russia) and IBM Connections, said in documentation of Sberbank on the project. In addition to access to all-corporate information and data on employees, internal forums and blogs, the portal will also allow the staff of foreign divisions of a message joint work over documents, to exercise task management, to organize polls, etc.

To services international the intranet portal should be organized access from mobile devices: in particular, a search capability according to the portal, conducting joint work over documents (at the first stage – obtaining the relevant copy of the document on the mobile device) and others.

Staff of foreign "subsidiaries" of Sberbank will be able to communicate and to work jointly with documents on English-speaking the intranet portal

Within the project on the platform international the intranet portal will be also organized virtual the Sberbank Europe portals (the banking group with head office in Vienna, manages network of nine banks in eight countries of Central and Eastern Europe).

The interface international the intranet portal of Sberbank will be English-speaking, and the Sberbank Europe portals – in local languages, depending on national language of the country in which the subsidiary bank is located.

In pilot option the portal will be started on the hosting platform of the contractor of the project, and in February, 2014 it should be postponed and unrolled on the equipment on the platform of Sberbank. Implementation of the centralized approach during creation international the intranet portal imposes increased requirements to communication channels between infrastructure of MegadPC of Sberbank and subsidiary banks, said in the project documentation.

International the intranet portal Sberbank estimated works on creation approximately at 11 million rubles. It should be noted that in July, 2013 it became also known of plans of bank for development of new design of the official public site. Sberbank estimated these works at 50 million rubles.
