On November 12, 2013 Uniastrum Bank announced completion of audit of the software of production of Microsoft corporation used by bank. Audit was booked by KPMG company.
Project Results
Results of scheduled inspection showed - Uniastrum Bank works within license agreements with Microsoft and has no discrepancies between the purchased and used software licenses of corporation.
During audit several hundred servers and several thousands of workstations running operating systems of Microsoft are checked. In total Uniastrum Bank uses more than 10 thousand licenses for products of corporation.
"At the end of last year in Uniastrum Bank the modern methodology of management of IT assets of SAM (Software Asset Management) which includes a number of the actions directed to optimization of structure of program assets by regular monitoring of IT providing, standardization of workflows, forecasting of needs of employees for tools, necessary for work, etc. is implemented. Thanks to such approach to the analysis and accounting of program assets we increased efficiency of their use. Today the bank owns the optimal number of licenses of Microsoft for a full-fledged qualitative work that once again confirmed the audit booked in bank" — Alexey Yemelyanov, the vice president for information technologies of Uniastrum Bank emphasized.
