MDM Bank starts service of two-factor payment confirmation of purchases in networks

On November 13, 2013 MDM Bank announced implementation of new technology of safe payment of purchases and services on the Internet for clients holders of the plastic cards Visa and MasterCard — 3-D Secure.

Project Tasks

Use of service 3-D Secure allows to make quickly and safely online purchases. After input of details of the card in online store, the buyer is redirected on the special page for input of the one-time password which comes to the client to the mobile phone registered in MDM Bank. Bank carries out an inspection of the password entered by the client and sends to online store permission to carrying out transaction. Verification process of safety of payment takes several seconds.

Project Progress

The new method of confirmation will be applied to carrying out calculations in those online stores which support technology — Visa 3-D Secure or MasterCard SecureCode. With its help payment confirmation on the Internet is performed by the one-time password which goes in the Sms to the client in payment process. The technology considerably increases safety of purchases and services on the Internet using plastic cards.
