The fund of support of education provides professional network interaction of gymnasiums

On November 13, 2013 Polycom announced the implementing solution Polycom RealPresence Room in 350 education centers entering the Gymnasia Union of Russia program of Fund of support of education.

Project Tasks

"The gymnasia union of Russia" - the largest in Russia existing national educational project which created Fund of support of education. The project integrates about 350 regional education centers equipped with the systems of a video conferencing which services more than 1500 gymnasiums, lyceums, military schools and universities of a system of advanced training of teachers from 72 territorial subjects of the Russian Federation — from Khabarovsk to Kaliningrad use from Krasnodar Krai to the Sakha Republic.

Strategic task of the Gymnasia Union of Russia Program - the organization of permanent professional network interaction of gymnasiums and lyceums of Russia by means of a video conferencing.

Project Progress

350 education centers as a part of "The gymnasia union of Russia" are equipped with the solutions Polycom RealPresence Room (including Polycom of VSX 7000 and HDX 6000). Infrastructure of GSR is created on the Polycom RealPresence platform, on the basis of the open standardized technologies. It provides the high level of security and also the scalability, controllability, flexibility and quality of video conference necessary in order that pupils and teachers could work practically in any working environment and use devices and the systems of any type. A key component of infrastructure - the software of Polycom RealPresence Media Manager which allows to write seminars and lectures, making them available to pupils and teachers who had no opportunity to visit a video conferencing session.

Project Results

The information and education network of Fund of support of education has an important impact on all education system of the Russian Federation, bringing benefit, to both pupils, and teachers, and educational institutions. Now participants of educational process can attend lectures and participate in the seminars held by the best teachers and professionals in the field of education from different regions irrespective of where they are. More than 35 thousand users, including students, teachers, representatives of public organizations and state bodies in more than 1.5 thousand organizations, highly appreciated advantages of a new educational information network.

Pupils and teachers also use solutions of a video conferencing for the organization of speeches of the invited speakers from the different organizations.
