Biography
Vladimir Alekseevich Shovunov was born in the village of Ubinskoye, Ubinsky district, Novosibirsk region.
He graduated from the Astrakhan State Medical Institute. A.V. Lunacharsky in 1981, majoring in Medical and Preventive Medicine.
In 1981-1982 he studied internship in anesthesiology and resuscitation. From 1985 to 1987 - clinical residency in the specialty of anesthesiology and resuscitation, Moscow Dental Institute named after N.A. Semashko.
Subsequently, from 1987 to 1988, Vladimir Alekseevich Shovunov worked as an anesthesiologist at the Republican Hospital, and in 1988-1997 - as head of the intensive care and anesthesiology department of the Republican Hospital.
From 1997 to 2001, Vladimir Alekseevich - head of the intensive care and anesthesia department of the State University "Medical Center of the Republic of Kalmykia - Republican Hospital."
In 2001, he took the post of head of the intensive care and anesthesia department of the State University "Republican Hospital named after P.P. Zhemchuev," where he worked until 2010.
Since November 24, 2010 - Minister of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kalmykia.
On November 20, 2013, Vladimir Alekseevich Shovunov worked as the head of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kalmykia as a minister.
Since January 09, 2014, Vladimir Alekseevich Shovunov worked as the head of the Regional Vascular Center of the Republic of Kalmykia.
