ER-Telecom completed audit of efficiency of use of the BI solution

On November 21, 2013 the Technoserv Consulting company announced completion of express audit of a system of a business intelligence in ER-Telecom company.

Strategic and operational management of ER-Telecom company relies on a business intelligence in a system, on the Oracle BI platform which aggregates data from a large number of applications: billing systems, corporate portal, system of telephony and so forth. Its users are top managers, analysts from marketing departments and sales, the staff of technical service and contact center. Together with growth of a maturity of use of a BI system in the company also requirements to it grew, the set of questions to its functionality collected. For conformity assessment of the operating BI system to business needs and the best practices of development of the analytical systems, the ER-Telecom company invited Technoserv Consulting for carrying out audit.

Project Progress

Consultants Technoserv Consulting conducted an interview with business users and technical specialists, studied everything, the components connected with creation of a business intelligence:

• loading procedures of data,
• structure of storage and data mart,
• metamodel (repository),
• to the politician of differentiation of access rights,
• integrity of documentation,
• release policy,
• ergonomics of dashboards and reports,
• processes of knowledge transfer and training,
• development plans for a system.

Revealed strong and weaknesses of the existing BI solution, on each of notes developed recommendations about their elimination.
