Mosinzhproekt upgrades IT structure

On November 25, 2013 the Step Logic company announced the final of the project of upgrade of IT infrastructure of the Mosinzhproekt engineering company.

Project Tasks

The telecommunication network "Mosinzhproekt" is built on the basis of the equipment Cisco. For expansion of network and updating of the park of the IT equipment the management Mosinzhproekt selected solutions of Cisco again. Step Logic companies, Systematics and NPK Aggat-Aquarius Ltd took part in project implementation.

Main tasks of partial upgrade of network:

• creation of the new data processing center (DPC),
• updating of a core of network,
• construction of telecommunication infrastructure at new office "Mosinzhproekt",
• updating of the park of routers,
• upgrade of the hardware and software system Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM), equipment of new jobs IP phones.

Project Progress

Works on creation of a new high-performance data processing center were performed by the Systematics company. Within the project in network of the customer the equipment Cisco UCS is installed. The Cisco UCS complex helped to create modern information infrastructure which provides a possibility of implementation of new services and the applied systems of the customer and also guarantees higher level of safety of data.

Vasily Razumovich, the technical director of Sistematika LLC, noted: "Within the project we were responsible for creation of a new hi-tech data processing center Mosinzhproekt. We managed to create the DPC meeting all requirements of the customer".

Works on updating of a core of network were performed by specialists of STEP LOGIC company. The implemented solution increased performance and fault tolerance of network by balancing of loading, created the platform for further upgrade of the local computer network (LCN).

Works on the organization of corporate network at new office "Mosinzhproekt", upgrade of the hardware and software system Cisco UCM and to updating of the equipment of a LAN of the central office of the company are executed by NPK "Aggat-Aquarius".

As terminal units specialists Mosinzhproekt use the Cisco IP phones, periodically conducting procurements devices for the equipment of new jobs and replacement of phones which failed because of end of life. Specialists of the engineering company perform point expansion and updating of network using Cisco routers, buying devices as required.

Project Results

The project solution increases the capacity of servers of telephony and power of a complex which can service up to 4000 terminal units now. The failsafe architecture of Cisco UCM using two servers of call processing is created. Besides, all supporting services were duplicated that significantly increased performance and margin of safety of the hardware and software system Cisco UCM.

DPC:

• the block of computing infrastructure with two a blade chassis of Cisco UCS 5108, the equipped two modules Cisco UCS 2208XP I/O Module;
• 16 blade servers of Cisco UCS B200 M3;
• two modules of management and switching blade infrastructure of Cisco UCS 6248UP;
• the backup block with the Cisco UCS C240 M3 server;
• the block of the storage area network from two FC-kommutatorami Cisco MDS 48PORT 8GB FC SWITCH, equipped on 16 FC SFP+, the block of data storage and a subsystem of virtualization.

Updating of a core:

• the Cisco switch Catalyst 6509-E with two modules of management VS-S2T-10G, connection of reserve connections of switches of aggregation to the new switch of a core, connection of the new switch with the available Cisco switch Catalyst 6509.

Upgrade of the hardware and software system Cisco UCM:
