Pedestrian Dynamics

The key product of the company – the Pedestrian Dynamics system – was developed especially for modeling of dynamics of realistic behavior of crowd during the important events, such as national holidays, the international sports meets, concerts of stars of world scale, ceremony of rewardings, inaugurations. Also the Pedestrian Dynamics system is intended for security assessment at the airports, at stations and on other crucial objects of city infrastructure. Intellectual algorithms of a system allow to study and predict spontaneous behavior of big groups of people in daily and emergencies. It gives the chance to analyze potential risks and to plan safe solutions of problems at different scenarios. For example, in the conditions of formation of a crush, at concentration in a certain place of aggressive-minded crowd, in traffic jams, at evacuation from dangerous territories.

Among sign projects of this year on the account of INCONTROL Simulation Solutions there is a security within the celebration of Day of the queen (Konninginnedag/Queen's Day) – an event of national scale for all Dutches. This day through the whole country magnificent celebrations are organized, the main streets are blocked, different actions for citizens and tourists, including, a large-scale carnival are organized. With the assistance of INCONTROL during preparation for celebrations the graphic 3D model of the city of Eindhoven for simulation of overflow of the most dangerous zones, in particular, around the longest pedestrian street in Stratumseind country, and forecasting of distribution of crowd in these zones was created. The company developed recommendations about dispersion of crowd and safe routes for abnormal services are planned.
