Moscow Industrial Bank will organize antivirus protection according to requirements of the Central Bank

On December 4, 2013 it became known of acquisition and implementation in Moscow Industrial Bank of antivirus protection against Kaspersky Lab - Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security and Kaspersky Security for xSP.

Project Tasks

According to standards of the Central Bank, for protection of banking network against the malware it is recommended to use not less than two anti-virus solutions. Moscow Industrial Bank needed the reliable certified anti-virus products which quickly react to the arising cyberthreats. Existence of FSTEC certificates and FSB also compulsory provision when choosing the solution for protection of personal data systems. One more wish - availability of the Russian-language interface, it significantly simplifies use of programs and does not create obstacles to the employees. Among other requirements of the customer are noted: existence of technical support of any level directly in Russia, a built-in firewall and a possibility of blocking of external devices.

Project Progress

The choice of employees of the bank stopped on products Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security and Kaspersky Security for xSP. The first product provides antivirus protection of corporate networks of a different configuration and level of complexity against various network threats, such as viruses, the Trojan programs, worms, spywares and hacker attacks. Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security provides protection of the majority of network points:

• workstations,
• file and mail servers,
• notebooks and smartphones.

The technologies of pro-active protection applied in Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security help to save an IT environment from malware. The optimized algorithms of anti-virus check do not create excessive load of resources of corporate network. Internet traffic and traffic of e-mail is checked in real time. E-mail messages are checked for existence of a malicious code, a system also detects phishing letters and warns about them the user. Besides, check of the outbound traffic on existence of bulk mailing of a malicious code is performed. Kaspersky Security for xSP also protects mailboxes of subscribers from the malware and spam, working together with Kaspersky Enterprise Space Security.

Project Results

The project is implemented by own forces of the customer, essential technical difficulties did not arise. Product introduction of Kaspersky Lab did not demand structural changes in hotel of information security. Specialists of bank were trained to administration of this product in Academy of Information Systems (AIS) training center.
