Since 2004 JSC AIKB Tatfondbank realizes the development strategy expected the five-year period. Strategy is joint development of the national consulting company BDO Unicon Consulting and managers of Tatfondbank. As the concept of development the model of the universal commercial bank providing a full range of financial services is selected. Creation of the direct information system (DIS) of Tatfondbank became a part of strategy.
Choice of an information system
In the fall of 2006 the OTR company held the tender for the choice of components of an information system. In a work progress specialists OTR performed the choice of such TsIS components as the automated banking system (ABS), the front office solution, the data warehouse, the integration solution. When choosing the core banking system the formalized requirements of bank were considered. At the same time the choice of a system was made from two solutions of world leading manufacturers of the core banking system. The choice of the TsIS other components was carried out on the basis of the recommendations of experts of OTR company. Also the architecture of TsIS was developed.
As a result the automated banking system (ABS) of Equation of Misys company and the data warehouse of OFSA of Oracle company were selected. Equation has sufficient flexibility and a powerful set of functional modules that gives the chance to perform retail and corporate banking activities and also treasurer transactions within the single integrated system. Oracle Financial Services Applications (OFSA) is the integrated complex of the preconfigured storage of financial data and a number of applications which is intended for the solution of the whole complex of tasks, among which acceptance of management decisions in banks, data acquisition necessary for different analytical transactions, understanding of key components making income, forecasting of income and effective correlation of actions of employees and divisions with profit earning opportunities. As a technology platform IBM WebSphere Business Integration will be used. The Front FI system on customer service of bank (both legal, and individuals) intended for information input and preprocessing of documents was developed for automation of bank departments by OTR company. After the choice of systems by specialists of OTR company the GAP analysis of the core banking system and a front office system was carried out. According to analysis results the plan for completion of the selected software was offered.
Project Implementation
The project is going to be implemented during 2007-2009. The pilot branch in the city of Chistopol should begin work on a new hardware and software system in the first decade 2008. Then in 2008 a system will be put into commercial operation at head office of bank in Kazan. As the system centralized other points will be connected to base on the developed template. Replication, in fact, will consist in personnel training and to connection of divisions of bank to the unified information system.
