"Opening" implements HP Vertica DBMS

On December 17, 2013 the press service Otkrytiye bank announced system implementation of management of databases (DBMS) Hewlett-Packard Vertica.

The new platform will occupy one of the central places in a technology chain of receiving and information processing of the systems of bank and external sources, allowing to solve essential business challenges effectively. Its high performance, rather small costs for infrastructure at creation of an analytical cluster and also lack of the dependence on a specific type of the equipment inherent to many similar platforms became decisive factors of the choice of the platform. Project Results

"We successfully implemented and used the Vertica platform in Yota company. When choosing the server of data warehouses we were guided by the principles of pricing, high performance and scalability of work with large volumes of data, a possibility of loading of information in real time from a set of sources, a possibility of implementation by own efforts and the minimum cost of maintenance.
