On December 17, 2013 the Xerox company announced the beginning of the project of outsourcing of services of printing for the benefit of PrivatBank bank.
Project Tasks
The project on transfer of printing infrastructure of PrivatBank on outsourcing began in 2011. Active growth of a branch network of bank led to increase in the park of the peripheral equipment which service began to distract considerable time and financial resources. Analyzing a situation, the management of bank came to a conclusion about need to transfer to control function by the park of the printing equipment, its repair and service and also an obligation for delivery of supplies and providing the uniform reporting in all territory of presence, to the contractor - profile provider Xerox.
Set the tasks for Xerox:
- systematization and unification of the park of a printing equipment,
- disposal of employees of the bank of the non-core activity connected with service of office printing
- increase in transparency of expenses.
Project Progress
Xerox coped with tasks, despite geography and scale of the project: only in the territory of Ukraine Xerox is transferred the park of the equipment to the control - more than 13 thousand devices set in 2.5 thousand the branches and departments which are totally printing about 5 million pages a month. At the end of 2012 the project started at the Russian offices of banking group in the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region. Further planned implementation of service in other regions of presence of Moskomprivatbank began.
Project Results
As of December 17, 2013 services are rendered in 225 Russian branches and bank departments. Xerox transfers about 1,600 devices with an amount of printings over 1.7 million prints a month to the control. As a result of rationalization of the park, already at a service implementation stage, indicators of number of employees on the device and availability of the printing equipment are improved. At the same time process of transfer of management of printing infrastructure took place according to the approved plan, without painful effects for business processes of the client.
