On December 24, 2013 the DATADOME company announced completion of creation of the project of upgrade of DPC for the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR).
Project Tasks
With growth of computer systems of JINR, the needs for the guaranteed regular power supply and cold supply for correct work of all systems grow.
The concept of the Seven-year development plan for JINR for 2010-2016. provides concentration of resources for updating of accelerating and reactor base of Institute and integration of its basic installations into a single system of the European scientific infrastructure. Upgrade of JINR is carried out within expansion of computing infrastructure of network of data processing of the European organization of nuclear researches of CERN.
Project Results
With project implementation of upgrade of the UPS system, power will increase up to 700 kVA in comparison with 200 kVA. The system of cold supply will also be improved therefore maintenance of the continuous temperatures which are not exceeding a certain value will be provided.
The project is complete on November 20 and included design of upgrade of a system of cold supply and the uninterrupted and guaranteed power supply of JINR.
