In December, 2012 the bank started with search of a modern scalable solution with a possibility of parallel processing of data which would keep further development of retail business and would increase the speed of formation of answers to credit requests. Having held a competition and having compared functionality of different solutions and total cost of ownership for 5 years, the Otkrytiye bank gave preference to the SAS Real-Time Decision Manager system.

The important role was played also that in bank are already implemented and successfully other solutions of SAS function.

Implementation
System implementation began in March of the current year. The main complexity was that it was necessary to switch the credit pipeline to the new platform, without interrupting its work. "Together with a command of SAS Russia/CIS our specialists managed to develop approach to SAS RTDM system implementation taking into account specifics of our bank. As a result, transition happened almost imperceptibly. Professionalism and level of project management of our colleagues allowed to execute the project of SAS rapidly, despite all difficulties", - the project manager from bank Alexander Volkov tells.
In the course of implementation the existing strategy for express products (POS) and cash loans (CASH) were transferred to SAS RTDM. The next short-term plans include optimization of logic of a system and migration of the remained functions of the credit pipeline, in particular, of strategy for card products. The bank is also going to integrate SAS RTDM with the automation system of target marketing of SAS Marketing Automation implemented now that will allow to do to clients target marketing offers taking into account risk level and to make more weighed decisions on the offer of this or that product in the course of cross-sellings.
Result of implementation in 1.5 months
"Our task consisted in providing the continuity of process of consideration of credit requests and adoption of the relevant decisions. We already achieved performance improvement of our back office. We reduced the operational risks connected with performance and Itinfrastruktura's fault tolerance. The average time of consideration of the credit request was reduced to 2 minutes, - Vyacheslav Blagirev sums up the first results of work on the new platform. – Afterwards we also expect due to new technologies to reduce the cost of requests of credit stories from BKI and to increase the processing speed of the most priority credit requests".
According to Igor Michurin, process of transition to the new platform took slightly more than four months. "Operational implementation of SAS RTDM in so short time happened thanks to productive interaction of a command of SAS company and divisions of Bank: risk technologies, project risk and IT".
