Specialists of Dinamika company helped Rosinzhiniring Ltd to cut down communication expenses using means of the joint communications of Microsoft Lync.

Before implementation of Lync in "Rosinzhiniring" various means of communication - mobile communication, Skype and ICQ, the IP telephony, telephony of Cisco and Samsung were used. Not each employee could use the video conference-equipment of Polycom installed in meeting rooms for the daily purposes. Before IT department of the company there was a task to simplify possibilities of communication of employees among themselves based on corporate solution for a video conferencing, with ability to integrate with the equipment of meeting rooms; organize an internal chat; create a possibility of telephone communication on remote platforms without the excess equipment and VPN connection; reduce use of uncontrollable clients of third-party developers. Also the company management was interested in cost reduction on mobile communication of employees.

Choosing a Solution

Rosinzhiniring became interested in a communication framework of a corporate class of Microsoft Lync which allows to communicate and stay safely in touch with colleagues and clients practically in any place. For work various devices - the computer, phone, the tablet, the smartphone can be used. Among the basic Lync-solutions useful functions - the uniform unified client, a possibility of holding of conferences, exchange of notes, files and many other things. The main task of Lync – easy providing telecommunications of different level.

Dmitry Ivashin, head of group of system administration of Rosinzhiniring Ltd: "As our company has extensive geography of projects, employees often work in different regions of the country and abroad. Mobile clients with communication out of office, with the minimum costs for negotiations are very important for us. In the company there was no corporate chat and a video conferencing, there was no opportunity on the remote platform quickly to organize telephone communication. We needed means for modern communications which we could control. There were many requirements to a new solution, and to all of them there corresponds the functionality implemented in Microsoft Lync".

Features of implementation

Implementation of Lync Server 2013 happened in two stages, lasting about a month, in July-August, 2013. At a stage of preparation for implementation specialists of Dinamika company analyzed the existing infrastructure: what technology of virtualization as the solution will be set as service will be reserved if "iron" or the virtual machine fails. At the first stage capacities were prepared, the solution is installed on all servers of the company and stability of reservation is organized. At the second stage there was a telephony setup, routing using the operating Cisco telephony.

Makarov Dmitry, the technical director of the company of Loudspeaker "Being one of key customers of Microsoft, "Rosinzhiniring" asked us a question of deployment Lync 2013, and in a failsafe configuration and surely integrated with Cisco telephony set in the company. Considering feature of this infrastructure, we tried "fit" into it most accurately. Negotiations on that Dynamics was engaged in technical support of this project in the company are now conducted".

The uniqueness of a technical component of the project is that Lync was set in the mode of complete fault tolerance. Dmitry Ivashin: "It was the individual project developed taking into account permanent availability of the solution. Specialists of Dynamics suggested us option - to carry services on servers, and now six virtual servers participate in all sheaf: two back-ends, two frontends, one server for communication with the outside world and one chat pool the server. At such scheme Lync it turns out fault-tolerant - employees always have an opportunity to work".

Obvious advantages of Lync

Rosinzhiniring did not impose Lync to employees as the unique product, but actively propagandized its use. In the company there is an internal self-service portal with all software, available to the employees, and instructions, and users can set interesting them software on the computer. For December, 2013 Lync Server use about 50% of employees, their number and activity constantly grow. In three months - from September to November, 2013 - the number of "point" sessions in Lync increased by 18%, the transferred messages in a chat - for 25%, and time of video sessions grew by 10 times.

More and more employees of "Rosinzhiniringa" are convinced of convenience and functionality of the Lync-solution. In the company the internal system of a video conferencing and instant messaging appeared. Now it is possible to organize quickly wireless telephony on remote platforms - only the notebook and Internet connection is for this purpose necessary. Also quantitative advantages are obvious - mail traffic decreased.

Users will organize a multipoint conference with simple administration and without excess costs. High availability of service is provided with availability of software clients on all existing platforms - Lync works both on the tablet, and on the mobile phone. Thanks to opportunities of "federation of Lync" the company received the convenient tool for communication with some of the customers and contractors - directly through Lync. The function of record of video conferences necessary for recording of meetings and dialogs with contractors became the important option Lync for Rosinzhiniring company.

Dmitry Ivashin: "We want that all our employees got used to use Lync, removed "ICQ" and Skype. Now they have an internal chat and telephony allowing to be in touch from any place in the world from any platform".
