"The Poltava gas-oil company" displaid application servers in "cloud"

On January 13, 2014 the TechExpert company announced project completion of ensuring the increased availability of crucial business applications on the platform of "cloud" services Windows Azure for the Poltava gas-oil company.

Project Objectives

To minimize influences of effects at liquidation of force majeur circumstances, to have an opportunity to quickly recover crucial business applications and IT services, to provide the continuity of business processes, IT services, in JV PGNK the decision - to reserve virtual servers of applications in "cloud" on the Windows platform of Azure is made.

Project Progress

The project is implemented by use of the prepared images of virtual servers of applications in a format of the virtual hard drives placed in remote data center on the Windows platform of Azure. Under them, by means of a management portal of Windows Azure necessary resources are selected, the connection point for the organization of the channel of enciphering Site-to-Site IPSec VPN is created.

In the project progress in "cloud" several application servers are deployed: Terminal, Madoc, MD Office and td. Daily databases of applications are updated in "cloud". Access to business applications in "cloud" is provided at the request of users or on an event.

Project Results

IT specialists had an opportunity of fast maintenance of business applications. Databases are reserved in "cloud" network storage Microsoft.

Possibility of turning on of virtual servers on demand allowed to use the created infrastructure as a polygon for modeling and testing of updatings of applications (according to the recommendations of ITIL). At the same time there is no need of reservation of physical capacities for deployment of a polygon in the company.
