2017: Creation of a management system of a MRO based on "Galaktika EAM"

Mangistaumunaygaz — the large oil and gas company of the Republic of Kazakhstan — started creation of a management system for maintenance and repairs of production assets based on the solution "Galaktika EAM". The project started in October, 2017 and is implemented by the central office of Galaktika corporation in Kazakhstan.

In 2016 for all portfolio enterprises of National welfare fund "Samruk-Kazyna" which is a major shareholder of JSC Mangistaumunaygaz within program implementation of transformation reference management model was approved by maintenance and repairs of production assets. The model includes uniform complex strategy and uniform approaches in management of a production equipment and its reliability" — the director of the department of automation, information technologies and communication of Mangistaumunaygaz Erbol Mukashev told.

Project Tasks

Project objective of implementation is reliability augmentation and technical integrity of the oil-field equipment by control of process of a MRO. As of December 5, 2017, works on inspection and the description of the current business processes of the enterprise are performed.

Within the next stages of the project will be executed:

  • system design of management of production assets,
  • development of methodical providing,
  • collection of data on the equipment and standards on repair,
  • setup of a system,
  • integration into "Galaktika ERP".

Commissioning of an object in commercial operation is scheduled for the beginning of 2019.

Creation of a management system for maintenance and repairs of production assets based on "Galaktika EAM" will allow to conform to requirements of the international standard ISO 55000 of Asset Management completely. Automation will allow to increase an interrepair time of operation of the equipment and, as a result, to increase efficiency of use of material and human resources at the enterprise — the CEO of the central office of Galaktika in the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Toyshy noted.

Within the project full integration with the existing accounting system "Galaktika ERP" regarding transfer of the corresponding directories, reference books, accounting data, budgets and an application campaign is planned.

This project is important both for Galaktika corporation in general, and for the Kazakhstan office as this first system implementation of "Galaxy EAM" in Kazakhstan. Especially the solution will be executed in parallel with similar implementations based on the western products on other affiliated enterprises of KazMunaiGas. Successful project implementation will prove that domestic modern platforms do not concede, and in many questions and exceed outdated solutions of foreign competitors. It is sure that it only the beginning of projects in the Republic of Kazakhstan, – the vice president of Galaktika corporation Alexander Burgardt emphasized.

2014: The second stage of implementation of the Galaktika ERP

On January 13, 2014 the Galaktika corporation announced the beginning of the second stage of system implementation the Galaktika ERP in JSC Mangistaumunaygaz.

Project Objectives

One of the main tasks of the project – implementation of automatic collecting of the actual indicators of the purchase plan and budgets of the company on the basis of the existing data of operational and accounting accounting in the Galaktika ERP system.

Implementation of new functionality will help to organize work in a common information space of participants of application and budget campaigns, to control processes of purchases, supply and supply logistics, to provide effective uses of current assets due to control of the current remaining balance of Inventories in warehouses.

Project Progress

The project is implemented by specialists of the Central office of Galaktika corporation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the second stage of the project it is going to automate:

  • formation, control and analysis of execution of budgets of JSC Mangistaumunaygaz;
  • logistics regarding planning and the analysis of execution of the purchase plan of goods, works and services.
