Uralsib upgraded a wireless network at the central office

On January 21, 2014 the BCC company announced project implementation of upgrade of a local computer network at the central office of URALSIB bank in Moscow and remote central office in Ufa.

Project Progress

During the project works on upgrade of the local computer network (LCN) of URALSIB Bank, including design stages, deliveries, installation, commissioning of the equipment and migration of the operating subsystems in a new system are performed.

Works on upgrade were performed on the operating network of bank that required high degree of attention and study of detailed plans of migration for each of components of network. For upgrade of a LAN high-performance routers and the Cisco switches Systems were used.

Project Results

At the central office of bank, in Moscow and deleted, in Ufa it is constructed fault-tolerant by a LAN with hierarchical modular architecture, according to the best world practices. Migration of users and the core banking system applications in upgraded by a LAN is carried out.

Special attention is paid to unification of processes of a support and maintenance of a LAN. The uniform address space, the solution of routing and network security is created, the control system of connection of the user devices to a LAN, transparent model of ensuring quality of information transfer (data, a voice, video) in borders of corporate network of URALSIB bank is implemented.

"In this project the availability quotient of the kernel level and distribution upgraded by a LAN is provided 99.99% are not worse. Much attention at design was paid to unification of a LAN architecture and structure of the equipment for the subsequent replication of the applied solutions on other offices of Bank, – Pyotr Taranenko, the deputy CEO of BCC noted. – The BCC company is more than 10 years a business partner of Cisco Systems and regularly confirms the status Channel Customer Satisfaction Excellence reflecting the high level of satisfaction of customers with workmanship of projects".

Development of the project

On April 12, 2016 the BCC company announced participation in an implementation project of a control system of access to a wireless network of URALSIB Bank.

The works in the project are completed and the control system of access to a wireless local computer network at the central office of URALSIB bank is implemented.

Use of the technologies allowing employees of the bank to work with corporate resources by means of mobile devices on all types of platforms and operating systems – Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android became a project deliverable. Access to a wireless network is organized on the basis of belonging of users to different types of groups in the active directory that allows to manage effectively authentication processes and authorizations.

For corporate users the mechanism of check of a system status is implemented, it gives to the user access to resources of network if at the workstation relevant updates and required software are set. For guest users the "transparent" proxy server of web traffic is organized.
