Calculations of DISCOVERY Research Group, showed that the size of the market of medical gloves in Russia in value term was $360.32 million in 2011, and in 2012 the market increased by 33% and began to make $478.18 million. The structure of the market remains invariable from year to year – requirements of the market is satisfied due to import.

Volumes of import deliveries of rubber medical gloves to Russia in value term in 2012 increased by 33%, having reached an indicator of $481.19 million. For the first 6 months 2013 of medical gloves it was delivered for the amount of $192.70 million. In kind in 2012 to Russia was 1546.6 million couples of rubber medical products are imported that is 51% more, than previous 2011. For the first 6 months 2013 the import volume of medical gloves was 619.96 million pairs.

In structure of import of rubber medical gloves in kind on the first place on import volume in 2012 there was a Heliomed company. However, in structure of import in value term of 16% of amount it is the share of the gloves delivered by WRP company.

According to opinion of specialists, over the last 5 years the market of medical gloves surely gains steam: the commodity nomenclature extends, new types of gloves appear. Foreign producers promptly increase production and sale of these products in the Russian market.

The medical disposable gloves made of latex are generally supplied to the Russian market (abroad broad application was found by gloves from synthetic materials: vinyl, a nitrile, a neoprene, etc. - they are more expensive, but do not cause an allergy and are steadier against aggressive environments; in Russia they also gain popularity).

In structure of import of rubber medical gloves in kind on the first place on import volume in 2012 there was a Heliomed company. In 2012 the share of the medical gloves which are released under brands of this company (ECO, MANUAL, EPIC) of all import of medical gloves made 15%. On the second place on import volume – Archdale producer. On the third place SFM company (12%), further there are WRP (DERMAGRIP, COMFIT, PROFEEL brands), Sempermed, BLOSSOM, etc.

In structure of import in value term of 16% of amount it is the share of the gloves delivered to WRP.

Among domestic manufacturers of the rubber products applied in medicine select: JSC Armavir Plant of Rubber Products (APRP), Diaklon Ltd, ARDALE-IMPEKS LLC, RUSMEDUPAK LLC, Jasmin Med LLC, FARM-GLOBAL LLC and JSC Bakovsky Plant of Rubber Products (BPRP).

Price range on medical rubber gloves is quite extensive. The prices of surgical gloves are higher, than on diagnostic (viewing).

The analysis of the Russian market of the gloves applied in medicine showed that the main directions of development of this market are: expansion of the range, increase in volume of demand, growth of specific weight of import products.

The domestic market of rubber gloves at the heart of the consists of import products. If the rate of a gain of import volume of 2012 in value and natural term (33% and 51% respectively) remains also in 2013, then it will be possible to tell that volumes of import products increase, as well as the price of it increases.
