According to Discovery Research Group in 2012 the Russian agricultural enterprises entered 61.2 million tons of organic fertilizers. Most of all organic fertilizers it was introduced in Stavropol Krai – 7.1 million tons that makes 12% of total amount of the introduced organic fertilizers in 2012. Also on 8 subjects of the Russian Federation: Stavropol Krai, Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Voronezh region, the Belgorod region, the Omsk region and the Lipetsk region was necessary more than a half of volume of all organic fertilizers introduced in Russia.
Calculations of Discovery Research Group according to FSGS Russian Federation show that in recent years (2007-2012) more than a half of all volume of organic fertilizers were introduced under grain and leguminous crops. In 2012 under this species of a crop more than 30.5 million tons of organic fertilizers were entered. Also in 2007-2012 the essential share of the introduced fertilizers is the share of different forage crops: 25-30%, depending on a year.
The greatest share in the total amount of export of organic fertilizers from Russia is the share of peat in recent years. According to FCS, in 2012 from Russia 72.1 thousand tons of peat were exported that is 3% more, than in 2011. Such enterprises as TORFO LLC, SFAGNUM LLC and TORFPROMEKSPORT Ltd were the largest suppliers of peat abroad. Peat supply rates these enterprises in 2012 were 38,4, 8,7 and 7.8 thousand tons respectively.
The total amount of import of organic fertilizers to Russia in 2012 exceeded 5 thousand tons. At the same time, unlike export, the greatest share of volume fell on soil – 79%. The Estonian enterprise ASB-GREENWORLD EESTI OU whose supply rate was 1.5 thousand tons was the leading importer of this type of fertilizer to Russia.
