The innovation technopark Idea

The technopark Idea provides services for the organization and development of the innovation business which are focused on residents of technopark and also on physical persons and legal entity – winners of programs and the competitions held in the republic with participation of technopark.

The decision on creation of technopark Idea was made by the resolution of the cabinet of Tatarstan in 2002, and it began the work in February, 2004. The business incubator, the innovation and technology center and the nanotechnology center and also the business park are a part of technopark.

"Idea" sets as the purpose creation of a system of commercialization of the knowledge-intensive ideas. For this purpose the technopark provides to the resident companies necessary support at all stages of the innovation cycle of the project and promotes carrying out project, developmental and scientific survey works. "Idea" performs interaction between developers, the industrial sector and investors.

The technopark Idea note that, "unlike many similar structures of Russia" their structure is commercial and makes the partner interaction on such basis.

According to technopark Idea for January, 2014, in its territory 108 companies with the total number of staff about 1900 people and the average level of the salary about 30000 rub are localized (that is 12% higher so-so than republican).

In 10 years of work of Idea the resident companies on its platform created over 7000 jobs and more than 450 resident companies are localized. According to technopark, in 2010 it completely paid off for the republic on the volume of the enclosed investments. With participation of Idea in Tatarstan federal projects are implemented: technopark in the field of high technologies, federal business incubator, the nanotechnology center, a technopolis Himgrad.

In January, 2014 the technopark Idea announced hit in Top-15 of the best European business and innovation centers which was defined by the European network of the business and innovation centers (European Business & Innovation Centre Network (EBN) is the international non-profit association which part more than 150 business and innovation centers are: business incubators, the innovation and technology centers, technoparks, technopolises and other similar organizations in 14 countries of the world.

According to the management of technopark Idea, such result is achieved "thanks to support of partners and the governments of the republic, harmonious work of a team of specialists of technopark to both the new and demanded ideas of residents".

Among other best technoparks according to EBN - Atlanpole (Fantion), Berytech (Lebanon), Gate Garching (Germany), Technoport (Luxembourg), Barcelona Activa (Spain), BIC Lazio (Italy), Ideon Innovation (Sweden), Hermia (Finland), Instituto Pedro Nunes (Portugal), University East London (Great Britain), WESTBIC (Ireland), Innotek (Belgium), South Moravia BIC (Czech Republic). Besides, in Top-15 there is also the business and innovation platform of Taiwan.
