Outpost24 WAS

2014: Updating of the scanner

On February 3, 2014 it became known of entering of updates into the scanner of WAS Outpost24 web applications.

One of the main innovations in the WAS scanner - advanced navigation. The websites in reports are displayed in the form of a hierarchical tree, such type simplifies process of identification of vulnerable components and provides intuitive representation of structure of the web application that helps to analyze and correct problems quickly.

Developers added a feature to limit access to graphical interfaces for the selected IP ranges, for increase in fault tolerance. Became possible for users - to manage effectively access, applying different restrictions, for example, permitting access only from administrative networks, etc.

Among other innovations: adding of the Exploit-DB database ​​ in the list of sources of public exploits. Similar databases help system administrators to communicate about threats and more effectively to protect a system.
