The Administration of Saint Petersburg is provided with communication from MTS

On February 8, 2014 announced JSC Mobile TeleSystems a victory in 23 tenders of government institutions and the enterprises of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on provision of services of mobile and fixed connection for 2014. Total amount of all signed contracts was about 17.5 million rubles.

Project Tasks

According to the results of the held tenders for 2014 MTS will provide communication services to public institutions - administration of the Leningrad Region, administration of Kirovsky municipal district of the Leningrad Region, the Committee on IT and Communication of St. Petersburg, the Territorial Department of the Federal State Statistics Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the Baltic, Pulkovsky, St. Petersburg, Kingisepp customs and others. Especially for public servants of MTS developed individual tariff programs with a set of the most demanded services, such as landline numbers, high-speed Internet and roaming on trips around the country and the world.

"The choice by state authorities of MTS as communication service provider once again confirms our strong positions in business market of communication of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. For this purpose MTS on a regular basis develops telecommunication infrastructure in the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. So, in 2013 we continued program implementation of development and upgrade of 3G network, having increased density of base stations in the city and also having expanded a covering in the Leningrad Region. In a year the mobile Internet in 3G network of MTS became available to residents of more than 60 remote settlements located in the Tikhvin, Kingisepp, Priozersk, Slantsevsky and Lodeynoye Pole districts of the Leningrad Region. Even more than in 70 localities the covering of network of third generation was improved. All this will become a basis for fast start in St. Petersburg, and then and in the Leningrad Region to 4G network of MTS — Kirill Dmitriyev, the director of the branch of MTS Northwest told. – High-quality approach to development of network proves the efficiency – MTS is selected from quality of communication service provider by leading enterprises and government institutions of the region".
