2019: PepsiCO improves safety of its fleet in 6 countries

On June 14, 2019, SCOUT-Corporate Solutions announced that PepsiCO has increased the safety of its fleet in 6 countries using the Russian monitoring system.

In just two months of operation of the telematic system, the share of company drivers exceeding speed and making dangerous maneuvers on the roads in the CIS decreased from 23 to 4%. As a result, a significant decrease in the number of accidents involving corporate transport, insurance and repair costs.

Note that one of the manufacturers of drinks and food has long been a user of the domestic monitoring system. Thus, in the Russian division of PepsiCO since 2012, a decision has been applied to control driving safety on the basis of a telematic platform, which covers about 6,000 vehicles. As a result, in less than one year, the accident rate of the company's fleet in Russia decreased by 3.5 times.

Another important step was the connection of several hundred PepsiCO transport units to the system in Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Cars were equipped with satellite monitoring modules in order to quickly control the location, routes and speed modes of vehicles. Also, telematics records entries into turns at high speed, sharpness and the number of braking, rearrangements and other maneuvers. The use of seat belts and headlights by drivers is separately monitored,

Having arrived at the telematic platform server, all this data is carefully analyzed, and based on them detailed reports and graphs are generated, as well as a final assessment of the safety of each driver's actions. With their help, the company's management can easily assess the driving style of employees, understand who poses the greatest danger on the road, and conduct reasoned conversations with participants in the "risk group." Thus, the user gets an effective tool to improve the safety and economy of his fleet.

By the way, another significant argument in favor of the telematic system was the flexible approach of its developer and integrator to customer requirements not only in Russia.

First of all, special mechanisms for customer service and work with telematics were developed, which are as convenient and profitable as possible for users from several CIS countries at once. At the same time, the peculiarities of each of these states in terms of legislation and customs regulations were taken into account. For example, under the terms of the contract, telematics equipment is provided on loan. I evaluate the choice of our company as a provider of a system for improving driving safety in 6 countries at once as a recognition of the effectiveness of our solutions and service. In addition, I personally feel pride and emotional uplift from the fact that our developments and services save the health and even lives of people on the roads of different countries,

2014: PepsiCo Russia equipment with safe driving satellite monitoring systems

On February 6, 2014, 1C: First BIT reported: PepsiCo Russia at the end of 2013 equipped with satellite monitoring systems for safe driving "SCOUT" (Satellite Vehicle Control and Fuel Accounting).

PepsiCo in Russia pays great attention to this project and invests significant funds in it. The project is based on the SCOUT system. With its help, an analysis of the behavior of the driver behind the wheel is carried out, real-time feedback is provided, the manner of driving is determined, which poses a threat.

The company has been conducting neat driving training and the implementation of SCOUT for two years - its logical continuation. With the help of the SCOUT monitoring system, "dangerous" drivers can be identified.

Analysis of the frequency of sharp braking and acceleration, speed violations allows the system to assign drivers the appropriate score and determine those who are at risk. With such drivers, additional work will be done until their driving style changes. SCOUT will help find the most responsible employees with the safest driving style.
