2019: PepsiCO improves safety of its fleet in 6 countries

On June 14, 2019, SCOUT-Corporate Solutions announced that PepsiCO has increased the safety of its fleet in 6 countries using the Russian monitoring system.

In just two months of operation of the telematic system, the share of company drivers exceeding speed and making dangerous maneuvers on the roads in the CIS decreased from 23 to 4%. As a result, a significant decrease in the number of accidents involving corporate transport, insurance and repair costs.

Note that one of the manufacturers of drinks and food has long been a user of the domestic monitoring system. Thus, in the Russian division of PepsiCO since 2012, a decision has been applied to control driving safety on the basis of a telematic platform, which covers about 6,000 vehicles. As a result, in less than one year, the accident rate of the company's fleet in Russia decreased by 3.5 times.

Another important step was the connection of several hundred PepsiCO transport units to the system in Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Cars were equipped with satellite monitoring modules in order to quickly control the location, routes and speed modes of vehicles. Also, telematics records entries into turns at high speed, sharpness and the number of braking, rearrangements and other maneuvers.
