Biography

Sheila Jourdan received degree of the bachelor of arts in the field of accounting at the University of the central Florida and the master's degree in the field of business management at Florida Institute of Technology.

Held executive positions in The Walt Disney Company and Martin Marietta companies, often making reports on subjects of joint work, mobility and also on problems of BYOD and specifics of the female management.

Till 2014 Sheila Jourdan worked nine years in Cisco where she was responsible for providing and integration of key IT services for the staff of Cisco worldwide.

On February 03, 2014 the Symantec corporation announces that since February 18, 2014 Sheila Jourdan, the senior vice president of IT department for solutions for joint work and communications of Cisco company, enters a position of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) of Symantec company. Sheila performs operational and strategic management in the field of information technologies, paying special attention to a research of global trends in the field. She is accountable to the chief operating officer of Symantec Stephen Gilles.

"Sheila is the vigorous leader having experience necessary for formation and development of IT strategy of Symantec. She will also be responsible for the HR policy which purpose – and from now on to save superiority in the field of technology trends and to receive the maximum return from our technology investments", – Stephen Gilles told.

"I am extremely glad to an opportunity to work on promotion of strategy of Symantec 4.0 and to make use of the experience for integration of all systems for the purpose of creation of the information infrastructure, best in the class. At the time of appointment as the Chief information officer in Symantec Sheila also holds the director's position in NextSpace company, the creator of the innovation complex working environment for entrepreneurs, and is the member of council of consultants at the Chief information officer of SnapLogic company.
