Content

On February 10, 2014 the Comparex company reported - specialists of firm completed the project and implemented a hardware and software system of solutions of a failover cluster on the basis of the product VMware vSphere 5.5 for Samaragaz company.

Project Tasks

The most current problem of Samaragaz - reducing costs for acquisition of the server hardware, and as the main requirement to IT infrastructure - the maximum return from investments into its creation and further development.

The IT management of Samaragaz involved specialists of Comparex company to the solution of assigned tasks. Taking into account requirements and the customer's wishes IT specialists offered creation of scalable IT infrastructure based on modern technologies of virtualization of VMware, namely the product VMware vSphere 5.5.

Project Progress

A projectible system is unrolled in infrastructure of corporate network "Samaragaz" and helped with the solution of the main objectives of the customer.

For ensuring high availability of the virtual machine in a cluster the technology of VMware of HA allowing at failure of the ESXi node to recover operability of virtual machines on the remained nodes is used.

The constructed system consists of two ESXi nodes forming a failover cluster. For ensuring fault tolerance hypervisors have two configured interfaces for connection to network and storage systems. The server of management vCenter is placed on the virtual machine in a cluster.

Project Results

As a result of the implementing solution VMware vSphere 5.5 the customer reduced labor costs by support of IT infrastructure, had an opportunity of automatic recovery of services in case of failure of one of cluster nodes and also automatic restart of services in case of unavailability of its operating system of the virtual machine executing service.
