Kazakhmys completes implementation of a "cloud" warehouse management system

On February 18, 2014 the IT smart systems company announced creation of the complete solution of automation of warehouse business processes for Kazakhmys.

Project Tasks

Till fall of 2012 managerial accounting of stock balance of Kazakhmys company was kept in IFS Applications ERP system. The wide geography (The Zhezkazgan, East and Central districts of the Republic of Kazakhstan), large number of warehouse objects, need of business process optimization and use of offline-data collection terminals became the defining factors for carrying out complex reorganization of management of warehouse logistics.

Project Progress

Specialists of integrator considered features of business processes and versatile needs of the customer, and implemented in system approach according to the solution of assigned tasks.

For the purpose of increase in efficiency of implementation and service developed the centralized architecture, created the single database in the city of Almaty with remote connection of warehouses to a single system.

During the project specialists "IT. Smart of systems" carried out the analysis of business processes of the automated warehouses, their optimization, developed technical specifications and designed the WMS solution using ^[1] (offline) of data collection that was required according to terms of reference, provided training of specialists of Kazakhmys corporation, brought a system into commercial operation.

Project Results

In a project deliverable it is created and implemented industry solutions of automation of warehouse business processes of the central distribution warehouses with a possibility of replication. Thanks to "cloud" architecture of the WMS solution Kazakhmys had an opportunity to replicate a system by own forces that allows to reduce considerably costs for the project and to increase efficiency.
