The NPPs in Russia will operate based on the same software, as in the USA

In 2014 Rosenergoatom will begin replication of an information system of support of operation on the Russian nuclear power plants which in the pilot mode "was rolled" earlier on Smolensk Nuclear Power Station, the company in February reported.

The first platforms on which a system will be unrolled should become the New Voronezh,Kola and Kursk NPP, and afterwards it it is going to extend to all Russian nuclear power plants.

Process automation of operation of the Smolensk NPP was executed based on the software package eSOMS developed by the American company Ventyx. According to the company, this solution is the most widely used for management of operation on objects of generation of energy in the native market in the USA.

The Smolensk NPP became the pilot platform for software implementation of support of operation of nuclear power plant

On the Smolensk NPP the project on creation of an operations support system started at the beginning of 2011. At the station the project team which drafted the internal charter, the strategic plan of the project, the description of the business processes necessary for preparation of terms of reference of system modules was formed.

In 2013 Inline Group which won the tender for system implementation got into a project work. At the first stage 5 system modules entered an implementation scope: "Equipment" (maintaining passport and utilization properties of the equipment), "Notifications on changes" (management of notifications and oznakomleniye with changes, administrative and technical orders), "Operational magazines" (maintaining operational documentation in the form of electronic journals and archives), Bypasses (management of bypasses using mobile terminals of data collection) and "Qualification of personnel" (personnel management taking into account qualification requirements).

Since November, 2013 the support system was brought into trial operation on power unit No. 3 of the Smolensk NPP, and in April, 2014 is going to put it into commercial operation.

"Until the end of 2014 we will connect power units No. 1 and No. 2 to a system. Thus, the operation personnel of the Smolensk NPP will receive the new tool which will allow it more effectively, qualitatively and unmistakably to perform the work regarding documentation of the activity, and, as a result – to increase safety of operation of nuclear power plant", - representatives of the Smolensk NPP note.
