PocketBook 640

PocketBook company, the participant of the Russian market of e-books, provided in March, 2014 the serial moisture resistant and dustproof reader of PocketBook 640. The unique gadget will be for the first time shown to public within the annual book forum Salon Du Livre in Paris.

And just sometimes there is a wish to take the weakening bath after the unlucky working day or a good training. The reader of PocketBook 640 – what is necessary for fans of reading always and everywhere he is not afraid of either water, or dust, or sand. It means that the gadget will sustain complete immersion in water on depth to one meter therefore it is possible to enjoy reading even waters in close proximity. Salty sea splashes and sand or a bathtub with foam will not damage to operation of this electronic device in any way.

6-inch touch E Ink Pearl the PocketBook 640 display is designed on the basis of Film Touch technology. The thinnest sensitive film which does the device is applied on the surfaces of the screen it is easier than other fellows with the touch screen and display of the text improves quality. The display of the reader does not "glare" in the sun, and even at hit of direct sunshine the text of the book will be read without effort. Unlike the tablet and the smartphone with the LCD screen, it is possible to use the reader even on the beach, without hiding under an umbrella from a bright sun.

PocketBook 640 is the powerful and fast gadget which capacity is provided with the modern processor with clock rate of 1 GHz and 256 MB of RAM. So many books how many it will not be possible to re-read even for the longest holiday will be located on the built-in drive with a capacity of 4 GB. The reader supports connection to the Internet through Wi-Fi that, in turn, opens boundless opportunities not only for reading, but also for communication on social networks using corporate service ReadRate. The preset Dropbox and "Books by Email" services will allow to do without connection to the PC for transfer of content.

Protective properties of the gadget did not affect its weight and compactness in any way. The device weighs only 170 grams, and it means that to it there will be a place even in up to the top the hammered marching backpack. At the same time in the reader also the powerful accumulator which will provide about a month of independent operation is installed. Being sent on leave, it is possible to leave safely "charging" from the electronic reader at home.

The book forum Salon Du Livre at which it will be provided to PocketBook Aqua will take place from March 21 to March 24 then innovation can be expected on sale. In the Russian market the cost of the reader will be 6990 rubles.
