On March 4, 2014 Microsoft, throughout development of the solution Microsoft Dynamics AX, announced the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

Description

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 cloud scenarios, mobile applications and new approach to the organization of business processes are used. All this, according to the statement of the company made at the Microsoft Dynamics Convergence 2014 conference in Atlanta (USA) will become a basis for the new version of the ERP system of the corporate level which will leave in 2015.

Key improvement in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 - addition of the solution with mobile application for shop production Dynamics Shop Floor, using which operators of workshops will be able to fix information on execution of works, using devices running Windows 8.

There was a possibility of development and replication of the proprietary applications of the company integrated into the ERP system.

It is possible to unroll Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, both in local infrastructure, and on the Windows platform of Azure on the IaaS model - corporate data become available to users at any time, in any place.

The company refers to survey results of Forrester Total Economic Impact where, according to reports of analysts, about $6 million are told about payback of ERP systems of Microsoft Dynamics AX within 21 months, coefficient of ROI of 92% in the company using Microsoft Dynamics AX in three-year perspective and economy.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 following features are implemented:

• Expanded management of a warehouse. The new module of expanded management of a warehouse allows the enterprises to automate warehouse processes, having reduced, thereby, costs for its service and, as a result, the final cost of goods for the client.
• Management of transportation. The management system for transportation of Transportation Management System (TMS) gives opportunities in planning and accomplishment of transportations, management of routes, automatically controlling shipment documents and also fuel and customs fees.
• The mobile POS terminal – the new applications held for use on tablets and smartphones provide sellers and consultants with all necessary information in the course of work with the buyer directly in a trading floor. Understanding preferences of buyers and having an idea of existence of these or those goods in a warehouse and also being guided in special offers and delivery time, the seller can render to clients the best service, increasing, thereby, their loyalty to the company.
• Support of cloud computing and mobile applications. Using the Timesheets application employees will be able to fix information on a work progress on projects, the Expenses application will help to control expenses, and Business Analyzer will provide business information capable to accelerate development of the enterprise. Microsoft applications of Dynamics AX 2012 R3 are available on different devices running the Windows 8 operating system.

Further expansion and development were gained practically by all functional circuits and technology components of a system. For example, now Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 can be unrolled not only independently, on own servers, but also in the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
