On March 6, 2014 the Galaktika Corporation announced an implementation project of ERP Galaktika in JSC Novosibirsk Instrumental Plant.

Project Tasks

Growth of the competition and active aspiration of the enterprise to strengthening of market positions caused the necessity of obtaining up-to-date, operational information about productive activity and control of business processes at all stages of serial production of the tool with the big range of finished goods. The used information system did not allow to manage the plant according to market realities. The decision on ERP class system implementation which will provide was made:

  • creation of a common information space between the services supervising the main production and the related non-productive processes;
  • maintaining the normative reference information about structure and manufacturing techniques of finished goods;
  • step-by-step planning of production process, accounting of change of schedules;
  • issue of the enlarged planned daily tasks for workshop and the actual accounting of the course of accomplishment of production process;
  • operational write-off of material resources, parts, assembly units in production;
  • "tough" control of products on compliance to the quality standards and identification of defects on early production stages;
  • finished product output from production.

Analyzing functionality of the existing ERP systems, estimating a possibility of their application in the conditions of JSC NIZ, the management of the enterprise stopped the choice on the Galaktika ERP.

Project Results

Within an implementation project tasks are solved:

  • updating of the normative reference information according to standards;
  • planning of finished product output at the enterprise level with decomposition of the transactions given to level made in production divisions;
  • formation of monthly plans of start production for the producing production departments;
  • calculation of monthly limits of a holiday of raw materials and materials in production and control of their holiday in production divisions on the basis of limit and intaking cards;
  • step-by-step accounting of the fact of accomplishment of planned daily tasks, the movement of semi-finished products on production divisions and delivery of finished goods on a sale warehouse. Daily obtaining information on a remaining balance of work in progress of parts, assembly units by transactions, repartitions;
  • write-off of raw materials and materials in production upon execution of operations;
  • production logistics planning.

- The most important purpose of this project is optimization of all production processes: the normative reference information about course of production and inseparably linked with them logistics planning process, - Alexander Zhukov, the deputy CEO for production of JSC NIZ noted. - System implementation allowed to minimize costs of time for obtaining information on the production process course, a step-by-step remaining balance of work in progress of semi-finished products, finished goods and acceptance of management decisions. We were already convinced that the spent efforts bring return. Separately it would be desirable to note increase in performing discipline of production divisions, reduction of a remaining balance of work in progress at the expense of the entered step-by-step accounting of accomplishment of planned daily tasks, and also limited holiday of raw materials and materials in production divisions.
